Overview
"Since its debut on November 25th, 2022, more than 56,000 dreams were generated." - The Dalí Museum
In the collaborative endeavor that brought the 'Dream Tapestry' to life at The Dalí Museum, I led hardware and user experience design. I constructed a physical half-scale model of the installation within our office in addition to multiple rounds of user testing. This model was crucial for our software development.
I researched and built cost-effective hardware that aligned with the project’s objectives, echoing our commitment to innovation and efficiency. During the user testing phase, I facilitated sessions instrumental in refining the user experience, ensuring smooth and engaging interactions for the visitors. This phase was particularly crucial in identifying and resolving issues under intensive use scenarios, highlighting our team's adaptability and problem-solving skills.
In addition to these technical contributions, I also developed interactive prototypes using Figma. These prototypes allowed us to test and validate our designs effectively before their integration into the final build, ensuring that each element of the user experience was thoughtfully crafted and aligned with the overall vision of the project.
Our collective efforts piloting OpenAI's DALL·E technology have allowed us to transcend traditional boundaries in art and technology creating an immersive experience that resonates deeply with visitors. As reflected in guest feedback, our work sparked innovation through deep engagement inviting users to explore the depths of their imagination in ways akin to Dalí's surreal visions. This project has been a testament to the power of collaborative creativity and technological innovation in redefining the museum experience.
